What is the Deschutes Pioneers' Association?

The objects of the Deschutes Pioneers’ Association, Inc. shall be to renew and maintain old acquaintances: to gather and preserve pioneer relics, stories and such other materials as are related to pioneer days; to record for future reference historical facts of the Deschutes Region.

How to Become a Member
The association shall be composed of persons who lived within a one hundred mile radius of the city of Bend, Deschutes County, Oregon at a time not less than 40 years prior to application for membership.

The following are also eligible for membership as an Associate Member:
A. A wife or husband of a member automatically becomes eligible for membership in the assoication.
B. Direct descendants of parents who were or are eligible for membership in the association.
Two Annual Meetings
The annual dinner business meeting is held on the third saturday in January.
The annual Picnic meeting is held on the third saturday of July. This ia bring your own sack lunch picnic.
Attendance is not required, but it is a great time to renew old acquaintance and make new ones.

Note to members: If you are going to pay over your dues, please tell us in the memo section of your check where you want the extra money to go. The board has decided money paid over the due amount will go into the Scholarship Fund, unless the member designates otherwise.
